In good weather the outside area is extremely popular since it is the only pub in the immediate vicinity with facilities for outside drinking.

This is our work local. They might as well take down the sign and stick a big owl over the door.

It's really not the most glamorous or unique* of pubs, but the staff are super friendly and never seem to mind how much we amble drunkenly up to the bar. The only downsides are that they close at the ridiculously early time of 11.30. This does mean we can catch the last tube home, but who wants...more

Didn't know the British did sushi. Our cod and chips arrived cold and raw in the middle. It took almost 20 minutes to get a new plate. The pea returned were inedible. The manager made no effort to make up for almost giving us food poisoning.more

Nice decor made me initially wonder why I'd never been to this place - ordered food and found out.

Tourist trap. When banners flank the chalkboards saying "REAL BRITISH FOOD & DRINK!" you can almost certainly ascertain that it does not indeed mean "REALLY GOOD BRITISH FOOD & DRINK."
