Downstairs always looks a bit drab and empty and I will admit I have been in and walked out a few times. However I took the plunge and went with a group of friends. The waiter knew his wines (they were very good) food was tasty and well presented. All brought out in a timely manner for the group with only 1 delayed dish. Don't be put off if it looks empty.more

Great burgers, good fish & chips, cold beer, attentive waitress--what's not to like? Another big plus is that the first floor had a lively & fun vibe while the upstairs dining room is quiet & pleasant.more

I must admit that the food was better than I was expecting. There was no wait on a Friday evening for a table for four. The server/bartender took care of us during our visit.

We sat in the larger front room, though on a few trips to the loo,...more
