What a transformation! This used to be the local old mans bar for lunch drinks when I worked in this area many years ago. Now it's kinda cool? What happened to shoreditch. All the hip bars are now dull, and all the dull bars are hip.

This place sits somewhere between a pub and a old club. It's pretty bare inside and painted floor to ceiling in black paint. But, there is the odd antlers here and there.

I sort of like this place. I like the horse pictures on the wall, the layout and the DJs that they bring over. I also like their all-day Sunday discos where they also serve roasts.
I don't like the fact that the toilets are absolutely rank--no toilet seat in the ladies for months, come on lads, get it together. Also the £10 entrance fee some nights is a bit ridiculous for what is essentially...more
Love the Horse and Groom. Located on the quieter end of Curtain Rd, it is a fantastic place to sit and while away hours chatting and being merry.
They put some great nights on here, with fun music and karaoke, which i protest is the best thing in the world.
