Jamm has had a few top quality DJ nights, most notably, those helmed by Felix B, one half of Basement Jaxx, who lives somewhere in the vicinity. It's not quite a club, more like a pub with a dance floor, and I've had quite a memorable night here (not least because I managed to lose my credit card, Oyster, ID and cardigan here yes, I had had a lot to drink).

Brixton Jamm is a good venue, but the quality of your night all depends on the promotion that is running at that particular time.
I have been there on numerous occasions, to DJ and to party, some nights have been quite mediocre and others have been awesome.
Do your research before you go to ensure your experience is as good as it should be.more
My feelings are a bit mixed on Jamm as I had a really good night there that ended quite patchily.
The venue is split into two rooms, and I was there to see I'm From Barcelona in one of those rooms. From the outside, the Jamm looks like the kind of place where people get shot in the toilet over drug deals gone wrong, but it's actually a really friendly and cool venue. It's a bit run down and frizzled at the edges, but that somehow just adds to its friendly and laidback atmosphere. They seem to be putting on all kinds of events, from club nights to belly dancing courses to comedy.
