I don't get all the amazing reviews?????? I had the bratwurst in a bun and side of fries. My meal was average at best. Given my German background, I'm a little insulted that this is passed as good German food.

The Bratwurst itself was OK but served lukewarm. The bun was just terrible - cold, hard and too large for the size of the sausage. The Sauerkraut was tasteless. So incredibly...more

Having been a follower of Herman Ze German on Facebook for a few years I finally got the opportunity to visit a couple of their locations whilst I was in London. I didn't eat as Currywurst was not on my culinary to do list for London but I did buy a fairly expensive cloth shopping bag. They cost about £5 which i feel is a bit steep. I'd heard good things about ze German and had been intending to visit for a while. I was not disappointed - I had a brat with fries and a cola.

Firstly the fries are somehow baked not fried - I didn't notice this until they were halfway gone because I was trying to double fist them into my mouth - they're that good. I only found out because it said so on a sign - there's no way you could...more

Great food, reasonably priced and always really friendly staff.

The food tastes good, really authentic, just like the one I had during my last trip to Germany.

My personal favourite is the "flat sausage in a roll" or "Leberkassemmel", I never thought I would be able to get it outside Germany.

Drinks are good as well, I like the fact that they serve Fritz Cola, from an independent Germany...more
