Popped in for a drink. I do like the inside pub and it has quite an interesting quiz upstairs, but staff are quite abrupt or non plused. Building falling apart outside so falling debris near the benches so I wouldn't sit outside (sorry summer). Either way I think there are better pubs in the area.more
Bar staff were nice and there was a good range of drinks on offer, but the price was something else entirely given it's not even in central London! Also, the vibe/music etc. is a little bit pretentious, so if you're looking for a down-to-earth local, this is not your place.more
This is a lovely pub, perfect for a drink with friends. The food is good, but the value for money is hit and miss. Some dishes are well priced, others are ridiculously expensive. The cheese plate, for example, costs £7.50 and has three tiny morsels of cheese with some accompaniments. I felt ripped off when I bought this.more
Went for Sunday roast. Lovely restaurant in the back, and they accommodated our pram which was unexpected. I had the beef roast, served with a nice helping of gravy and duck fat roasted potatoes and Yorkshire pudding and veggies. Nice beer: good reals, good selection, well kept, fresh.
Average food. Starters expensive for size of portions and effort in preparation (i.e. don't bother), main courses very nice, pork belly and trout nice. Sticky toffee pudding disappointing, just sponge with average sauce and ice cream, seemed like it was prepared in a real hurry.
