The Oxford
Overview
The Oxford is another fine Victorian pub that combines old traditions with modern style. Ornate wall lights and old wooden furniture contrast sharply with the stainless steel of the open plan kitchen in the middle of the pub. Already established as a favourite amongst local residents and businesses with all the dishes freshly prepared in the open plan kitchen. A raised dining areas allows for bookings and during the summer months customers can dine on the outside seating.

Gig night at the Forum, pre-gig drinks are definitely in order. Just South of the Kentish Town tube this little gem sits. I personally think it is a better meeting place than the apply named Assembly House. There were several plush arm chairs and tables to sit at, not to mention the bar.
The drinks were plentiful and the food smelled really good. The Oxford will definitely will be the go to...more
I think I have found my new favourite spot, pre-gig at the Forum just up the road. The Oxford became more of a shelter than a destination while the heavens opened above last night. Quite a monsoon, huh?
But lucky for me, I found a pretty good place to park my drenched self while the streets flooded outside. A jug of rum punch sorted me and my friend out right away. What rain? we asked, while...more
I've walked past The Oxford more times than I can count but Easter monday came along and something inside me cried out for a cheeky beverage.
I was surprises at the big crowd the bank holiday had drawn but luckily still got a table to plunk down on.
Every element of this pub has been carefully considered. The decor is classy and seemingly new with chandeliers, beige & red walls, matching...more

It was battered meat goodness accompanied by a mustard sauce with pearl onions. The fries were ok, though I would...more
Although a little bit of an upgrade from the Assembly House nearby, I don't think I can say too much about this place. They had some good beers on cask, but the rest of the menu was the macro selection you see everywhere else.
The starters were ok, but nothing to rave about.
Not bad for a casual pint though.more
