Vue SheBu is like the ugly older sister of Vue Westfield. You know, the "nerdy looking one" sitting in the corner while her little sister flaunt her cheerleading moves? Yep. That one.

Well, this only means that it's rarely full and you can *almost always* get tickets here if you can't watch your blockbuster of choice in Westfield.

There are 2 Vue cinemas within 2 blocks of each other. So when you tell a friend to meet you at one of them, make sure you're going to the same place.

"I'm at the Vue in Shepherds Bush"

"I am too!"

"I really don't think we're at the same cinema."

"But I'm at the Vue in Shepherds Bush!"

One of my favourite local cinemas. They opened in 2010, so everything is very new and they have three types of screens: the standard, the Xtreme and the Scene. I haven't been to the Xtreme yet, but I recently went to see King's Speech in the Scene and it is worth the extra money (about 15 pounds per ticket).

Ironically, I find that cinemas in the UK really put American movie theaters to shame. The seats are generally better, the snack bar has WAY more delicious yum yums, and you generally feel like you are experiencing something special and exciting when you step inside. I have found.

I went here last night to see the new bond film and had a nice time, despite many things going wrong. First of all I was early so while I waited for my friend I discovered there wasn't a single seat or bench in the place, I imagine this would be really bad for elderly or people with children.
