I'm a big fan of Vue Islington. It's my local theater, so maybe I'm slightly biased, but the tickets seem a bit cheaper than other theaters in central London, the screens seem much better, and they play tons of movies.
Also, between you and me, they have an excellent Ben and Jerry's selection.
The screens are ok here and it's not too bad to visit during the day, but I have visited twice on a Sunday with twenty minutes to go before showing and not been able to buy ticket in time for start of the film.....more
At a time when I was thinking of bumping this Vue up to three stars they go and give me reasons not to. The prices are far to high. My local movie-theatre... And probably one of the better cinemas in London (Lucky me, woo!)
The lobby is nice enough, obviously as with any cinema it's ludicrously overpriced for snacks and drinks. The staff are all friendly enough (this has definitely improved over the last year IMHO).

And they finally had the good idea to remove the twenty-odd TV sets from the 1990s in the main lobby.
Still a bit expensive on week-end nights, but the seats are comfy and the picture quality is excellent.more
