FINALLY! An affordable nail salon in London that does it right. One of my biggest frustrations about nail places generally in London is you either pay an arm or a leg for really good salon type service, or you go to a little neighborhood local and soak your nails for 5 minutes and get them painted for 30 quid. This is a nice, friendly salon in Shoreditch that I discovered through Yelp. I went to get my nails done because I was in the neighborhood. While I was there, I noticed two things:

1. The salon has a nice vibe to it and I liked being there.

2. Clients were leaving with fantastic-looking hair.

The Painted Lady is a Friendly little salon with plenty of vintage appeal. The shop itself has quite a 'shabby chic' interior, but everything is comfortable and in great nick (including the backwash sinks which I usually loathe!) and the quirky decor makes for a far more interesting hairdressing experience than some.
