Kleins is not open on the weekend which is a shame. I saw a board of feathers through the window and thought I'd have to come back during the week since I needed feathers for a fascinator I'm making. This place is a treasure trove of haberdashery goodness. Everything you need for your sewing needs - pins, needles, cotton, ribbon, trimmings, buttons, bag handles, eyelets, etc. They even have pipe cleaners and bra wire!

Eclectic window displays give a hint of what's hidden inside - lace trim, woven badges, fastenings and more. A proper haberdashery in Soho... it's probably cheaper to shop online generally, but then you don't see to see the merchandise in person. If at all possible go outside of lunchtimes etc when it gets frantically busy. The staff are reasonably helpful but don't get to spend a lot of time...more
We recently went in to buy some ribbon to wrap Christmas presents, and came out an hour later having spent £35 and laden with buttons, badges and vintage knitted trimming.
Though small, the shop is crammed full of everything you would ever need to make well, anything! The far room is dedicated entirely to buttons- vintage, designer copies, nautical and gaudy sequinned 1980s metallics. Boxes...more
