Gulshaan
Overview
If you find yourself craving curry in North London, head for Gulshaan – one of Kentish Town’s most popular Indian restaurants. Situated right next to the tube station, it’s ideal for mid-week lunches and laid-back dinners before a gig at the Forum or a night out in Camden Town. The chefs use fresh herbs and spices and prepare each dish in the style of the region it originates from to guarantee an authentic flavour. The menu features familiar favourites like baltis, biryanis and seafood dishes like the spicy prawn madras. For something a little different, try Gulshaan’s signature dish – Murgh Bade Saba, which is chicken cooked with green chillis, coriander, ginger, yoghurt and a unique blend of herbs and spices. You won’t be disappointed!

Excellent service and gorgeous food. The best feature in my opinion (other than the incredibly kind staff) is that they give you HUMONGOUS dishes of chutneys and sauces with the poppadoms. I nearly made a meal of it! In fact, I DID make a meal...more
4 star food and 5 star hospitality!
Gulshaan provided an excellent service from the second we stepped in the door. We were escorted to our table and the waiter kindly pushed my chair in for me (not something commonplace in Kentish Town establishments). Our two waiters were extremely patient and happily brought us water while we pondered over their thorough menu.
The pompadoms and dips were...more
With the exception of Gordon Ramsey's 3* restaurant on Hospital Road, this is the best service I have ever received dining in London. They didn't make me laugh, perform tricks or sing, but the service flowed with a stunning grace that timed everything to perfection.
The genuine smiles, offers to help with the menu and delivery timing of the dishes were excellent.
