This pub is located in a very calm beautiful area in Notting hill where no tourists would find their way out there! ( I got the tip from someone that used to live in that exact same street).

Dined at this restaurant tonight and the hype about this place is extremely overblown. The food arrived not only cold, but was also quite bad (perhaps that is why most people were drinking and not ordering food?) Sunday roast and sticky toffee pudding were excellent. As others have noted the service wasn't the best (but not the worst). Lovely outdoor seating is first come first served. Nice wine list. Would recommend if you have a leisurely afternoon.more

Terrible service. My father ordered a suckling pig on kimchee. Meat arrived cold, he had to order another dish. Waitress who turned out to be 'in charge tonight' was unbelievably rude, dish slammed down, wine delivered with her back turned. Not my idea of customer service.more

An 'Optional Service Charge' is just that- OPTIONAL. To have some ditzy 25-year old French or Polish waitress who's been on the job for what seemed like 2-days, insist 'it's impossible to remove' in that haughty continental voice they put on is seriously annoying after an otherwise pleasant meal.
