We went for dinner for a three-course and champagne set deal. I had mackerels with roasted peppers for starter, then seabass for main, followed by strawberry-infused dessert. We visited for afternoon tea. The assortment of pastries and sandwiches were a delight to both my eyes and stomach. The tea selection, though varied and good, was nothing out of the ordinary. I have to say, I was thoroughly underwhelmed.

I came to celebrate my best friend's 30th birthday with a champagne afternoon tea, and I was expecting the champagne to be flowing.

But sadly the service we received was a bit standoffish, and more interested in the table of overtly higher class patrons next to us. So we never even ordered a second glass. Nor were we asked if we wanted one.
