We had a couple of missed food moments in London (two-hour wait for Dishoom, Bumpkin Notting Hill closing down, etc.), but we were very glad that the Laughing Gravy came through.
A quick walk down Blackfriars Road, Laughing Gravy is a cute restaurant with a beautiful dining area and bar. The menu is offers dishes that infuse the essence of traditional British food with new-style cooking.
I was determined that I'd have some type of wellington in London while I was there. So I resorted to Yelp and found this little cute place a few metro stations away from us.

We had some friends visiting from America so we booked a table for dinner. I had the elderflower mojito which was very enjoyable. I ordered the heritage beetroot as a starter. The beetroot itself was lovely, however if you are going to put caviar on someone's plate please list it on the menu as not everyone wants to eat fish eggs. We stopped in late on a Friday evening with no reservation. The host was welcoming and friendly and let us know that a table would be coming up soon as the first batch of early diners were finishing up. We didn't wait too long before we were seated.
