Across the street from the famous gentlemen's club with which it shares its name, Le Garrick is a convivial and well-established restaurant and bar with a classic menu of French cuisine. Spread over two floors, the ground floor dining room offers a window view of the bustle of Covent Garden outside, while the intimate basement with its candlelit alcoves fosters a more discreet atmosphere. A lively crowd of playgoers and theatre faces soak up the weekly live music.

Such a lovely French restaurant situated in Covent Garden (Leicester Square closest station). You feel like you're in the extension of the owners' living room! Gorgeous, hearty dishes like the boeuf bourguignon and steak frites (I've been more than once!) and amazing starters. You must try the calamari - such distinct flavouring! This has become one of my favourite restaurants.more

Candle-lit restaurants with that old-fashioned smoky, sexy kind of charm have always appealed to me. They beckon and entice me in. I relax more in a restaurant that doesn't have glary lights; I feel myself kicking back and genuinely glowing, in the glow of it all!

Beautiful little brasserie serving French bistro fare in a quaintly setting. Big windows, amber lighting (good for dates), and joyful, friendly staff.
They offer your standard bisfro fare of various steaks-- onglette, entrecot-- a fish of the day, mussels, and surprisingly, vegetarian dishes outside of the usual dreary mushroom risotto (£9.95). On my most recent visit I sampled the quinoa...more
Happy staff, high-quality French food and a lovely restaurant with a great underground section (looks infinitely more cosy than the upstairs seating area).
This place isn't for super fat people as the tables and chairs are teeny weeny - we had to squeeze in next to a drunk group of four women for our romantic meal for two, and it was quite hard to hear anything other than their cackling...more
