After a Boris bike mishap that rendered us unable to find a docking station with free spaces anywhere near Borough Market we ended up in Bermondsey where I sniffed my way to Caphe House.

This is really a cafe, so expect just that. Get coffee and nibble on a sandwich.

The spring rolls were good. Fresh, flavorful and veggie crunchy. Both the prawn spring rolls and shredded pork rolls score well.

Upside: Vietnamese iced coffee, aloe drink.

Downside: closes by 5 o'clock and on Sundays.

To be fair most business do close on Sundays in London. Something I have yet to understand. It's as if Londoners dislike making money, I dunno.more

Good food at reasonable prices, although not super authentic, portion sizes good and friendly service. A wide selection means you can come often without getting too bored. A warm bowl of pho is great on a cold day.more
