The London Library

About

The London Library is a true literary oasis with a collection of more than 1 million volumes dating from the 16th century to the present day, on 15 miles of open shelving.

Membership of the Library is open to all.

Every Monday evening non-members can visit the Library for a free guided tour – an opportunity to learn about the fascinating history of the 171 year old Library and see the spaces and collections housed in this quite unique, labyrinthine building.
