Overview

The LSO is one of the world’s leading orchestras. Under the leadership of Principal Conductor Valery Gergiev and President Sir Colin Davis, it attracts the best musicians from across the globe. Resident at the Barbican Centre, in the heart of London's Square Mile, the LSO presents over 50 concerts a year in its hometown. It tours extensively, regularly visiting the US, Far East and all major European cities, and provides the soundtracks to many films. The LSO has its own record label, LSO Live, and pioneering Education and Community programme, LSO Discovery.
