Lord Clyde
Overview
Winner of the 1997-1998 Licensee of the year award run by the London brewers association, Lord Clyde is a traditional London beer house, selling real ale. It was built in the early 1900's and hosts a great historical atmosphere. They have a bar menu for lunch serving traditional home made English pub food as well as a selection of snacks which are available throughout the day until 10.30pm. A variety of entertainment is provided including fruit machines, a dart board and background music.

This place is on the way home from work and I've been meaning to stop in. I popped in for lunch today just to check it out. I had the steak and ale pie with mash which was very good. This is a real local's pub with character.
Much like the Royal Oak on the other side of the Borough High Street, except that it's older and homelier and less bright.
A solid selection of standard and unusual ales on tap with decent flavour.
