I haven't lived in London long and I've found that living near/in central London does have its disadvantages. And the lack of a decent haberdashery/fabric shop that won't break the bank is one of them.

I could have travelled to East London or ordered online, but I had a sewing lesson that required dressmaking scissors and I had just over an hour to acquire them, so having read the previous...more

You can pretty much get anything haberdashery related here, such as elastic, ribbon, buttons, as well as fabric. They...more

MacCulloch and Wallis is always my first port of call for haberdashery supplies. They are particularly good for buttons, buckles and other haberdashery components. With three floors of fabric, threads, ribbons and general haberdashery, you are more than likely to find what you are looking for.

The staff are very helpful and know what they are talking about when it comes to fabric, dress...more
