The Maple Leaf

The Maple Leaf is a pub with a Canadian theme to it. With its maple wood furnishings, maple leaf flags and a traditional English and Canadian menu, you may be mistaken for thinking that you were in Canada. It boasts a multi-screen TV complex which more often than not shows coverage of sporting events from Toronto.

Many years ago I was a constant visitor to Canada and loved the bar scene over there. Finding the Maple Leaf was a real treat and took me back to my haunt in Toronto, Boosters, a sports bar near the old Maple Leaf Gardens. This bar really sent my memory into overdrive seeing the memorabilia on the walls and, more to the point, the bottles and draught pumps of Canadian beers. The atmosphere,...more

Average pub filled with Canadian flags and sport team memorabilia. Staff were friendly, and they have some arcade games. I didn't try any of the food, but didn't see anything really Canadian on the menu.more

The Maple Leaf is a Covent Garden staple and has been for decades. I visited on a Friday and was surpised it wasn't as busy as I imagined ti would be. They have a range of "Canadian" draft lagers (brewed in the UK) and bottled beers (possibly not). I recall about...more

Came for a few beers and a rugby game. Place was packed, in and outside. Good vibe, fair prices, good people around us, and friendly staff. We have not tried the food nor went far into the drink menu. It was just convenient for the moment, easy to access and walk in. The street the bar is on, is full of bars, people and looks like one of those destination places to grab a beer with friends....more
