I'm not quite sure how to describe a Marks & Spencer to Americans. It's very different from what we have, but I wish we had a Marks & Spencer on every corner. It's a wonderful mash-up of Whole Foods, JC Penny, Deli and community grocery store. I grabbed lunch here three times and found so many things that were organic, healthy and delicious.more
M&S is a very popular Deptarment Store in the UK. They have everyhting from women's clothing, men's clothing, luggage, bags, shoes, towels, hats, umbrellas, underwear etc. Their prices are reasonable. You can take the bus or the tube to get to this place, it is very convenient. This is the place where I bought most of my gifts for friends and relatives,,,coz I'm not getting them anything...more
If you want to shop like a Brit in Britain, you must try a Marks & Spencer.
I adore this store. Its quite large and I can find just about any item that I fancy.
There are Marks & Spencer all over the UK.
How I missed getting European quality items at Target prices.
Marks also carries fresh foods if that's what you may want. Its a shoppers heaven.

I first visited this M&S with my mum who was in London from the States and had promised a friend back home that she'd pick her up some of their famous underwear. (At the time I did not know the panties had such a level of acclaim globally.)
I've returned many times since, branching out to hold-ups (that's thigh highs to you, Americans), tights, dresses and tops. In fact, one of my favourite...more
