I was staying out by Heathrow Airport for the night, but wanted to get out of the hotel/ airport confines. I decided to make my way out to Makato for a nice meal. The reviews posted before mine are accurate, and the food was delicious.

So I'm from New York where all food is at a REALLY high standard. If something isn't Great, it won't be around for long (unless it's a tourist trap). Anyway, I moved to Chiswick about a month ago and being a Sushi addict I had to give this place a try!
Its a true mom and pop shop, meaning VERY limited seating and I'm pretty sure the sushi chef is the husband and the waitress is his wife...more
I get shocked looks when I tell my friends I found a really good sushi place in London. It is a really tiny place and even though I strolled in really early in the evening the place was already packed.
Nothing more to add than what's already said about this place but I have to admit, I nearly got emotional after finishing my meal here!more
Delicious, authentic sushi located in London at last!
Compared to my fave haunts in Vancouver, Canada, this place isn't exactly perfection, but I'd say it's at least a 9/10! I was sceptical when My girlfriend suggested this place, thinking it would be well over-priced being in enviable Devonshire Road in Chiswick (the same Road Gordon Ramsey used to have his Gastropub).
Turns out, the place is an absolute gem, and now one of my favourite restaurants ever.
