da Scalzo

About

da Scalzo is a new venture from Enzo and Robert Scalzo, two of the brothers behind the Patisserie Valerie chain. Having sold up two years ago, they spent most of their time looking for that “special” place! They found it in this converted church hall. Set over a double vaulted main floor with two mezzanine levels above. The menu is mainly Italian, with a hint from other parts of the Mediterranean. “Our Italian roots give us the reason to offer good food and wine, and from our experiences with Patisserie Valerie, we have an open mind regarding dishes from other countries. We want to offer a relaxed enjoyable friendly experience, also with free live music, mainly Jazz, every friday and every sunday night, we want to give the customer the feeling that they have entered our home”

We had even arrived early for our reservation time, which was pre-selected for us by the...more

This is shameful, I wish this website gave some place to upload the photos, I would have shown that set of chipped plates on the dining table. At least this site is helping you save your face.

Serving customers in broken plates is disgusting in all cultures, not sure what breed this hotel owners/management is (Sorry, I...more

Alas dear traveler, here you are. By some unfortunate twist of fate, you've found yourself waiting for your coach outside the Victoria Coach Station. You're tired, you're hungry, and you're freshly devastated by the fact that there really aren't too many great options in the area. Sure, you could huff it over to the Knightsbridge or Kensington area, but let's be honest; you'd rather not...more
