Perhaps my expectations are too high, but then again this is the supposedly world famous and historic BBR, right? My first impression walking into the shop was how cool, albeit small the storefront was this is the only reason they got any stars.

84 pages of Rhone wines available on their website but they only carry 3 northern Rhone reds at this location--at least, in the smallish sales room that I was shown to. A single bottle of Cote Rotie (and no St Joseph). I have to judge this establishment on what I was shown when I visited.

On my tour of London wine shops a stop at one of the oldest, Berry Bros & Rudd, was a given to visit. Great big thanks to Yee Gan O. for introducing me to Berry Bros!

On Yee Gan's recent visit to SF, he brought along a particular bottle of scotch I had not seen before. He mentioned that it was a gift for someone and that you could not get it here in the U.S. This, of course, peaked my curiosity and I knew that I had to come check it out for myself in London.

Being teetotal because I don't like the taste of alcohol, Berry Bros isn't the type of shop you would normally seen me in.
