Visiting Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
Now that the London 2012 Games are over, the Olympic Park is being transformed into Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
The north section of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will open in July 2013. The south section will open in spring 2014.
The park is predicted to have 9.3 million visitors a year by 2016, hosting hundreds of events each year including sport and entertainment. Forthcoming events include the London Anniversary Games and the Wireless and Hard Rock Calling music festivals. You can also book tours of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Five venues remain within the park: the Stadium (for concerts as well as sport), Aquatics Centre, Lee Valley VeloPark, Copper Box and Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre. West Ham United Football Club will move into the stadium in summer 2016, after it is transformed into a UEFA Category 4 venue with 54,000 seats.
The ArcelorMittal Orbit by Anish Kapoor is Britain's tallest piece of public art and will offer visitors fantastic views across London.

Park In Progress Tour

UEFA Champions Festival
The UEFA Champions Festival is a free, four-day football celebration with a host of family-friendly activities. Taking place on The International Quarter, close to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the festival will be the first major event to come to the home of London 2012. 23-26 May
Global Champions Tour
One year on from the London 2012 Games, the world's leading show jumping championships will be staged at The International Quarter, adjacent to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Taking place in the UK for the first time, the competition will feature the world's Top 30 riders, including Team GB gold medallists. 6-9 Jun
Hard Rock Calling
Hard Rock Calling comes to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park this summer. US rock legend Bruce Springsteen will headline on 30 June, along with The Black Crowes and Alabama Shakes. British indie-rock icons Kasabian will make their Hard Rock Calling debut on 29 June, playing their only UK festival. 29-30 Jun

Yahoo! Wireless Festival

Sainsbury's Anniversary Games
Athletics returns to London's Olympic Park this summer, on the first anniversary of the London 2012 Games. The IAAF Diamond League British Grand Prix will take place first, followed by a third day of paralympic athletics. Both will feature many athletes who competed in the London 2012 Games. 26-28 Jul
Open East Festival

Badminton London Grand Prix
Badminton's London Grand Prix 2013 will see some of the world's best players return to London to compete at the Copper Box in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The Badminton World Federation's (BWF) Grand Prix Gold event series will see the Copper Box transformed into an impressive badminton arena. 1-6 Oct
IPC Athletics Championships
See the world's best para-athletes compete in the Olympic Stadium at the 2017 IPC Athletics World Championships. Following the success of the London 2012 Paralympic Games, the city will host this prestigious competition a month before the IAAF World Athletics Championships, recreating 2012's fantastic summer of sport. IAAF World Athletics 2017
Watch the world's best athletes compete in London's majestic Olympic Stadium at the 2017 World Athletics Championships. London beat Doha to host the 16th World Athletics Championships, and will welcome thousands of competitors from more than 200 countries to the week-long event. Aug 2017
