About

'Richard III' is reimagined in 1960s' East London at the time of the Kray Twins, in Pentire Street's production of Shakespeare's Machiavellian tale at the Baron's Court Theatre this autumn. The title character of Richard will be played as two characters in this production, presenting a split personality and implementing the paranoid schizophrenia had by one of the Krays. After months of peace, a shift in leadership provokes the Krays to kill their brothers and strive to rule the Firm. In doing so, they most dispose of the 'Princess', the daughter of their elder brother whom everyone looks to take control of the leadership. Meanwhile, another force the south of the Thames is preparing to conquer London and gang warfare...
