His own groups are infused with a fascination with jazz as a global music - here he plays with his most recent band, The Hope Quartet, with saxophonists Francois Courneloup, Sebastien Texier and drummer Louis Moutin is a warm mix of filmic drama, fanfare, circus and swing.
