Robert Plant at Royal Albert Hall

About

Ahead of his October UK tour, Robert Plant and Band Of Joy play a rare live show at the Forum. The tour features songs from Plant's hotly anticipated 10th solo album Band Of Joy, recorded in Tennessee and co-produced by Nashville's Buddy Miller. It's Plant's first album since the 2007 six time Grammy Award-winning Raising Sand. Robert Plant has been a dominating figure in the rock world for the last 40 years. He tours with his Band Of Joy who are Buddy Miller (guitar and vocals) Darrell Scott (vocals, mandolin, guitar, accordion, pedal, lap steel and banjo), Patty Griffin (vocals and guitar), Byron House (bass) and Marco Giovino (percussion). The group was originally formed with drummer John Bonham in 1967. Soon after that the metamorphosis began as Bonham, Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page, and bassist John Paul Jones assembled to become The New Yardbirds which then became the legendary Led Zeppelin. Bonham died in 1980 leaving Plant to pursue his own interests, which have included recording albums with Jimmy Page, as well as bands like The Honeydrippers, Priory Of Brion and Strange Sensation. From there Plant continued to explore his diverse musical interests, and though he is now in his 60s, he remains an active figure in the music business.
