Camden Underground, a new night taking place over two levels in this Camden/ Kings Cross hideaway, launches with Diesel, of chart topping Naughties's dance act Xpress2, joining Ben Osborne on Bank holiday Friday, 25 August 2017. Diesel, a pioneer of London's leftfield house music scene, is best known for Xpress 2's 'Lazy', his chart topping collaboration with David Byrne of Talking Heads. But before this he and fellow X-Press 2 members, Rocky and Ashley Beedle, released a slew of seminal tracks that helped shape Nineties dance music. Using various aliases, including Ballistic Brothers, they graced a wealth of underground labels, such as Weatherall's Junior Boy's Own imprint. The night is hosted by London Belongs To Me, the folk behind Kentishtowner, Gasholder (and loads more cool neighbourhood cultural guides) and resident DJ Ben Osborne. Ben Osborne is an award winning electronic music and art producer and founder of the Noise of Art collective. Time Out says Ben's DJ sets see "techno, funk, galactic house, deep down and dirty disco and other dancefloor dynamite do the rounds". Like Time Out says: "If you can't make it to Ibiza, go to the Constitution".
