Tom Ballard: Problematic at Soho Theatre

About

A funny show about whether anything can be funny anymore. Tom Ballard will follow up on 2016's Edinburgh Comedy Award and Barry Award nominated The World Keeps Happening with a brand-new hour, Problematic, which will see him develop his provocative, charged, yet warm and relatable blend of unflinching political commentary and on-point observations on millennial life. Tom's barnstorming 2016 also saw him win the inaugural Pinder Prize (a grant named in honour of legendary comedy impresario John Pinder), make his American television debut on Comedy Central's Roast Battle at Montreal's Just for Laughs Festival and win the Helpmann Award for Best Comedy Performer. Tom's political podcast Like I'm A Six-Year-Old continues to grow, and last November he appeared on SBS's groundbreaking documentary series on Indigenous Australia, First Contact. Considered one of the Australia's most exciting and insightful voices, Tom will turn his razor-sharp attention to the UK this summer as he tackles everything from political correctness to outrage culture to race relations.
