A Clown Show About Rain at Camden People's Theatre

About

It makes sense to take an umbrella out when its raining, but mental health is much harder to understand than the weather. Combining clown comedy and dance-theatre, Silent Faces present A Clown Show About Rain, a dazzling look at the complexities of understanding and dealing with depression. Silent Faces tackle complex issues through physical comedy, finding that the best way to talk about the 'hard stuff' is to start by making people laugh. In this new work-in-progress, they smash together clowning with beautiful visual imagery and physical theatre, viewing mental health through a new lens. Questioning why we find it hard to appreciate the struggle faced by those suffering from depression, and exploring how destroying the stigma around mental health could help, A Clown Show About Rain explains why being asked to 'cheer up' is sometimes a ridiculous request. Silent Faces return to CPT after the success of their 2016 show Follow Suit. A Clown Show About Rain is a part of The Shape Of Things To Come: two weeks of hot-off-the-press works-in-progress from CPT's favourite artists. Take advantage of our double bill ticket offer, and book two different shows on the same night for just £12! Simply add the tickets into your basket and we'll do the rest.
