Relax on the lawns of Kensington Gardens under the shade of the 2017 Serpentine Pavilion, designed by award-winning architect, Diébédo Francis Kéré.

Every year since 2000, the Serpentine Galleries commissions a different architect to design a temporary structure which sits in its grounds.

Originally from Burkina Faso, Kéré is the 17th architect to design the Serpentine Pavilion. His vision embraces the changeable British climate, with a central open-air courtyard, a circular roof mimicking a tree canopy and an inventive water drainage system that creates a spectacular waterfall effect when it rains.

Enjoy exploring the connection between nature and architecture as you while away sunny summer afternoons under the impressive structure.
