Those who belong the younger generation may not be familiar with this 1980s teen idol. He has previously performed at Live Aid and written songs for another 1980s favourite, Chesney Hawkes, and we've all heard of The One And Only. After leaving school in 1976 to concentrate on his music career he performed with several different bands that all gradually dissolved. After the last group Fusion dissolved in 1982 Kershaw embarked on his solo career. His first album Human Racing achieved enjoyed 20 top hits in the singles charts including Wouldn't It Be Good and I Won't Let the Sun Go Down on Me which became his most successful UK hit reaching number 2 in the charts. The title track of his second album The Riddle was a highly successful UK and International hit and the album later went platinum. His last album No Frills saw a more mature style of his acoustic pop and he is now touring the UK performing his extensive repertoire.
