About

Don't beat yourself up for not having heard of Etienne De Crecy, he has been known to perform under various different guises. If Motorbass, La Chatte Rouge and Super Discount ring any bells then it's possible to be a fan and not even know it. Dec Crecy started out in the 1980s as part of a group called Louba in Versailles, another name to remember. Once the band had folded he branched out into his own studio work focusing on hip hop and house gaining recognition throughout the Paris club scene. His launch of project Motorbass in 1991 was the first to draw global attention to the emerging Paris scene. This led onto the release of Transphunk and later the Pansoul album. Both single and album were successful in the underground scene and gave way to a string of highly recognised albums. This DJ and producer has decided to keep just the one name for himself and is set to take the UK club scene by storm.
