Amy MacDonald at Royal Albert Hall

About

Amy Macdonald released her debut album This Is Life in 2007 which sold 2.5 million copies. Although new on the scene she has already won Best International Newcomer at Germany's Echo Awards, gone five-times platinum in Switzerland and had her album title track reach number one in 10 countries. Macdonald has already appeared at several festivals including Glastonbury, Hyde Park, T In The Park and V Festival. The young singer-songwriter from East Dunbartonshire first began performing small-scale acoustic gigs at the age of 15. Her success is principally down to a combination of word-of-mouth promotion and extensive radio play of singles such as Mr Rock And Roll and This Is The Life. Following these initial achievements Macdonald is back for more with her second studio album A Curious Thing, which features guest spots from Paul Weller.
