Watch the world’s best male and female runners during the Marathon at IAAF World Championships 2017 in Central London.
Starting and finishing at Tower Bridge, the 26.2-mile (42km) marathon route comprises four laps of a 6-mile (10km) course on closed roads, heading west along Victoria Embankment towards the Houses of Parliament, then back alongside the river Thames to St Paul’s Cathedral; before returning via the Tower of London.
It’s the first time the IAAF World Championships has staged two marathons back-to-back on the same day. The Men’s Marathon sets off at 10.55am with the Women’s Marathon beginning at 2pm, providing an incredible day of distance running through the capital.
After the races, the medallists will receive their gongs in front of the Tower of London, where a stage and supporter zone will be in place to make the most of the atmosphere.
