Follow the struggles of the hapless Mr Toad as heart-warming children’s tale The Wind in the Willows takes over the London Palladium.
Adapted from Kenneth Grahame’s classic novel by Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey) and starring Rufus Hound as the good-natured but impulsive Mr Toad, The Wind in the Willows is a feel-good musical comedy for the whole family.
Fuelled by his insatiable thirst for fast cars, Mr Toad has got into trouble as speeding fines and crashes have left him penniless. His impressive home, Toad Hall, is under threat from Chief Weasel and his wicked gang of Wild Wooders, who aim to take over the luxury pad. Luckily for Mr Toad, his friends Ratty, Badger and Mole are at his side. But only time will tell if it’s enough to help the loveable character keep his cherished home.
You’ll be transported right into the heart of the friendly gang’s adventures with a score by George Stiles, lyrics by Anthony Drewe, and beautiful set designs; bringing this timeless story to life with plenty of British eccentricity.
