Micky arrived on the comedy circuit in 2001 with an Edinburgh Fringe show about his rise from working-class to middle-class, and being caught awkwardly between the two. The show led to a best newcomer nomination at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards and from there he went on to record a special for Comedy Central, host BBC Radio 4's 4 At The Fringe 09 and 4 Stands Up and make an appearance on the first series of Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow. Four episodes of his BBC Radio 4 series What Chance Change? aired in June 2010. Micky draws on his East End background as he deconstructs the Cockney myth, and in the Out Out Show he mixes the highlights of his past two shows to tell a comic tale of his working class upbringing, where alphabet spaghetti is a luxury and a bottle of Blue Nun the height of sophistication.
