Explore Antony Gormley’s labyrinthine sculptures at his new exhibition, Fit, at White Cube Bermondsey.
The artist is configuring the gallery into 15 chambers to create a labyrinth. Visitors can choose passages through differently-sized and uniquely lit spaces.
Exhibition highlights include expansive installation Sleeping Field, which is composed of nearly 600 small iron sculptures. At first glance, the work resembles an urban landscape of high and low-rise buildings, but up close, the forms show hundreds of bodies at rest.
In Passage, Gormley creates a 12m-long tunnel, whose shape is modelled on the human form, offering a journey into the unknown.
Fit is the sequel to Gormley’s exhibition Model, held at the gallery in 2012.
