See some of the Spanish artist’s most striking paintings with Picasso Portraits at the National Portrait Gallery.

Follow Pablo Picasso’s personal life and the evolution of his artistic style through the depiction of his acquaintances, from the realist portraits of his youth to the gestural paintings of his maturity. Showcasing more than 75 artworks in all media, the display includes renowned masterpieces as well as portraits that have never been exhibited in Britain before, such as the cubist portrait of the German art dealer Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler.

Discover the whole range of Picasso’s exceptional techniques, from outstanding self-portraits and depictions of his lovers, to caricatures inspired by artists of the past such as Velázquez and Rembrandt.
