About

Don’t miss this acclaimed production of Hamlet as it returns to Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre as part of the celebrations for the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death.

Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, returns home after hearing of his father’s death and finds his mother married to his uncle Claudius, who has now become king. The ghost of his father visits Hamlet at night, reveals Claudius as his murderer and usurper of the throne of Denmark, and demands him to avenge this terrible betrayal.

Hamlet is one of the most complete expressions of Shakespeare’s genius, and this weekend of performances to mark exactly 400 years to the day since his death is a fitting homage to the great playwright.
