Don’t miss Michael Crawford’s return to the West End in The Go-Between at the Apollo Theatre.
Crawford plays Leo, an emotionally detached, elderly man who keeps memories of his past locked away. On finding a diary from his youth, Leo comes across a passage from a particularly hot summer in 1900, when thirteen-year-old Leo was manipulated into acting as a go-between for a pair of young lovers from entirely different social spheres. The tragic results of that affair have followed him for the rest of his life.
The Go-Between has already received Best Musical Production at the Theatre Awards UK for runs at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, the Royal & Derngate and Derby Live. Now with a new score by Richard Taylor, the musical's London premiere promises to be a hit.
