Protest Songs at London Jewish Cultural Centre
Overview
A course in which Clive Lawton throws off all attempts to hide his unapologetic sentimental attachment to the 60s, the golden age of protest songs. First participants find their roots in the 20s and 30s and trace the tracks of protest and rebellion through music to the present day. There are chances to listen to the songs, study the lyrics and maybe even sing-along to some favourites. Bob Dylan and Joan Baez guaranteed.
