About

Experience a blazing new musical inspired by true events as Miss Atomic Bomb premieres at St James Theatre.

It's 1952 in Las Vegas. Tourists watch nuclear tests light up the sky as they lounge around hotel pools. Candy can't work out how her sheep have died, Joey has left the army, Myrna is practising her fashion design skills on pigs, and Lou is desperately searching for an atomic gimmick to boost his business. With the local mob, the military and a spy running the show in the city, how will things turn out for the four friends?

Award-winning television and stage actress, Catherine Tate (Doctor Who, The Office, Assassins) joins the cast as Myrna alongside Florence Andrews as Candy, and Simon Lipkin as hapless hotelier Lou. West End's Dean John-Wilson will also star as Joey before his performance in this summer's hotly anticipated musical adaptation of Disney's Aladdin.

Directed by Adam Long and Olivier Award-winning choreographer Bill Deamer, this quirky comedy is a joyous satire on Nevada's explosive age of atomic bomb testing.
