About

Delve into the bright, bold and colourful world of the renowned British artist with Michael Craig-Martin: Transience at the Serpentine Galleries.

Bringing together works from 1981 to 2015, this solo show of the artist’s vivid art explores the fleeting and ever-evolving world of technology. Using minimal lines, Craig-Martin produced bold representations of the latest gadgets of the day, charting many familiar technology that have long since become obsolete.

Covering everything from televisions, lightbulbs and laptops to games consoles, cassettes and the iPhone, Craig-Martin’s work exposes the development of our everyday technology in function and form, and its changing impact on our daily lives.
