Don’t miss Les Blancs, Lorraine Hansberry’s touching play at the Olivier Theatre.
Evoking the spirit of post-colonial Africa, Les Blancs takes you to the edge of a revolution, as racial tensions and claims for independence seem set to burst into a civil war. Tshembe, who has returned home from England for his father’s funeral, finds himself at the heart of the conflict. Follow the troubles of a nation through the eyes of a family, as they both struggle to find a stable identity.
Les Blancs sees the National Theatre debut for award-winning director Yaël Farber, known for acclaimed productions such as The Crucible at The Old Vic, Mies Julie and Nirbhaya.
