Decorated for a 19th-century Christmas, Charles Dickens’ first family home hosts a busy programme of daytime and after-dark festive events this winter.
Catch readings and performances of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol by actor Dominic Gerrard and Professor Michael Slater. Take a candlelit tour of the writer’s Victorian home, see his library and personal possessions, and step into the room were some of his most famous novels were written. Plus, enjoy a whole day of festivities on Christmas Eve, including carol singing around the piano and performances based on Dickens’ enchanting Christmas stories.
