Christmas Concerts and Carols at St Martin-in-the-Fields



With its wonderful architecture, warm acoustic, candlelit settings and stunning music from world-class ensembles and choirs, St Martin-in-the-Fields does Christmas concerts like nowhere else. This year there is a packed programme of festive favourites lined up.

Launching the festive season is the London Concert Choir with Advent Carols by Candlelight on 28 November. The brilliant St Martin’s Voices and Brandenburg Brass follow with A Christmas Celebration on Thursday 3 December. Music will include Kenneth Leighton's "Lully, Lulla, Thou Little Tiny Child" and Harold Darke's "In the Bleak Midwinter".

The Joys of Christmas on 14 December will be performed by the Choirs of St Martin's and Carols for Christmas by Candlelight will happen on 23 December.

Taking place at 4.00pm on Tuesday 22 December and again on Wednesday 23 December, Festive Family Carols by Candlelight is a joyful celebration for all the family. Carols for choir and audience will include "Away in a Manger", "We Three Kings" and "Little Donkey" as well as entertaining solos by the choir including "The Virgin Mary Had a Baby Boy!"

Go in from the cold and don't forget to wear your best Christmas jumpers, Santa hats and reindeer antlers.
