About

Hollywood's favourite Irish playwright Martin McDonagh (In Bruges, Seven Psychopaths) brings his pitch-black brand of comedy to Wyndham's Theatre with his new play Hangmen.

The play takes place in a small pub in Oldham, where Harry (David Morrissey), England's second-best hangman, reacts to the news that capital punishment is to be abolished. Reporters, pub locals and a mysterious stranger circle around Harry, all with differing motives on this momentous day.

McDonagh’s first UK play for a decade opened to critical acclaim with a sell-out run at the Royal Court Theatre earlier this year. The West End transfer promises London audiences a surreal and darkly funny night of theatre. Book your tickets now.
